Good Saturday Morning to all.

First off---Happy Mother's day to each mom reading this blog this morning. You are truly a gift from God to us. Thank you!!! No dish washing for you today---Tell them the Pastor said that!

Eph 6:8 tells us---"Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers." great verse.

Paul tells us here to keep praying even when there is no answer. Our first response would be---But why? Why would I continue to pray if there is no answer?

Let me give you a few reasons why. Think them through.

1- Persistent prayer focuses your attention.

When you pray over and over it is not to convince or remind God. He needs no reminding. It is to remind us that God is our source of your answer.

Every prayer is instantly answered. God knows the motive of our prayers. He knows the result of an answered prayer.

Also if God answered immediately all the time, then our focus would be on the blessing and not the BLESSER. Think about that!!!

2- Persistent prayer makes your prayer clear.

Not to God, but to you. You want to make sure that what you are asking for is really what you want.

3- Persistent prayer tests your FAITH.

Read James 1:3-4.

Growth in our lives often comes when our faith is tested. Often the test is "delay" not denial, just delay.

So what is it you have been praying for? Is your focus on Him? Is your prayer clear? Is it helping you to grow? If your answers to all 3 questions are YES, YES, YES, then trust Him for the answer. He is never late, and His answer is ALWAYS right and best.

Think about these even now.

Much love,

Pastor G
