Good Saturday morning church.
We celebrate the most precious day in the calendar---Resurrection Day.
When Jesus arose from the grave, He took our sins and bore them himself and became sin for us. WHAT LOVE!!!!
Think about this thought for a moment---What has been your response to the Mercy, Grace and Restoration of God that you experience even today?
Because of sin we were DOOMED. Don't miss this, if you do you too are lost in your sin.
Resurrection Sunday (Easter) is all about God's love for you and me even while we were in our sins. The price that Jesus paid on the CROSS was for you and me. His suffering and cruel action taken against him was also for you and me. So, here is my question to you on this week-end that the world saved or not saved celebrates this glorious true event that took place a little over 2,000 years ago---How have we responded to All that Jesus has done for us?
Has it been a simple---Thank you Lord. Maybe we should think a little more about it and recognize that without the shedding of His blood on the cross we were all hell-bound. But because He did what he did, we who have accepted Him and repented of our sins have our names written the the Lamb's book of Life and are Heaven bound.
So, our response to all that must be in line with His Word. It is called OBEDIENCE!
Have we obeyed God's word in the areas that we know to be clearly spoken of in his word? Such as; holiness, purity, our speech, our witness of Him, even our faithfulness to his house and giving to his work. That list goes on and on. Examine your own life, not in condemnation but in evaluation and make whatever the adjustments call for. His word is our standard, Not what the church says, or preacher says, but God's Word and it is clear.
God is not cloudy in the way He wants us to respond. He loves us so much and wants us to spend eternity with Him. But it must happen His way and not ours.
Wow, what a God we serve...
As we come together tomorrow for our Resurrection Service, remind yourself all Jesus did for you, so you can respond properly to Him.
For tomorrow read ... Matt. 28:1-6 and John 20:19-31
